Build Timeline
First update
MilestoneMVP built in 3 weeks — Claude + GPT-4, no engineers hired I'm a business person, not a developer. I described the product to Claude in detail: what the feed should look like, how trending scores should work, what filters a content team would need. 3 weeks later, MVP was live. 80% AI-generated code.
First users came from Reddit — no ads, just honest posts
r/SideProject and r/SaaS. Posted honestly about what I was building and why. Responded to every comment personally. That's where the first 50 paying customers came from. Not from ads, not from press — from showing up in community and taking feedback seriously.
$10k MRR in month one
Hit $10,000 MRR in the first month after launch. The market was there — content teams genuinely needed this. The AI does the heavy lifting, the pricing is clear, and the distribution channel (Reddit + word of mouth) kept working.
Applying the same playbook to ChatIQ — AI customer support
Took the same approach to a second product: ChatIQ, an AI customer support chatbot that trains on your own business data. Now at 11,000 users and $2k MRR. Same method: identify the gap, describe it to AI, build in public, respond to everyone.
The formula: real problem + AI build + Reddit distribution
I've now done this twice. The pattern is repeatable. Find a problem a specific audience is frustrated by, describe the solution to Claude in detail, ship fast, post on Reddit, respond personally, iterate weekly. You don't need to be a developer. You need to understand the problem better than anyone else.
